Purpose:

As a Front of House Server, you’ll be the face of The Foxtail Café—greeting customers, taking orders, delivering food and drinks, and ensuring every guest has a positive and memorable experience. You’ll work closely with our kitchen, bar, and other FOH team members to keep things running smoothly and keep the good vibes flowing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a warm, friendly manner
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system
• Deliver food and drinks promptly and knowledgeably
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
• Answer customer questions about the menu and make recommendations
• Handle payments and process transactions efficiently
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth service during busy periods
• Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Assist with side duties such as restocking, cleaning, and opening/closing tasks
• Any additional duties as they may arise

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous serving or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to café procedures and policies
• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to serve alcohol in Manitoba (Smart Choices certification required)
• Weekend and evening availability is an asset
