Purpose:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team for the season. This role involves preparing ingredients, assembling pizzas, operating the wood-fired oven, and ensuring food quality and consistency. Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble pizzas, salads, and other menu items following standardized recipes.
- Operate and maintain the wood-fired pizza oven, ensuring optimal cooking temperatures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with ingredient prep, including chopping, portioning, and dough handling.
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate supply needs to management.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including safe food handling practices.
- Any additional duties as they may arise
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a line cook, pizza cook, or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of wood-fired pizza cooking techniques is an asset (training provided).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Manitoba Food Safety Certificate
- WHIMIS Certificate
